Description
Fish collection made upon specimens obtained mainly in Argentine fresh waters and marine inshore and offshore localities as well as other elsewere. It contains preserved specimens (whole fishes, dissected and stained, skeletons, otoliths or scales) tissue samples for DNA analyses and radiographs.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 2,355 records.

Geographic Coverage
The CNPICT Collection is mainly composed of specimens collected in the Southwestern Atlantic Ocean, from Southern Brazil to the southern tip of Tierra del Fuego and from freshwater bodies of Argetina.It also contains linmited material collected both in the Pacific, Arctic and Antarctic Oceans.
